Jeanette Frederickson is the author of The Minnesota Divorce Revolution, a popular book that provides a plain English explanation of Minnesota divorce law and addresses numerous topics, including the complex issues of custody, child support, maintenance, and property valuations and divisions. Her book offers essential information for people seeking direction regarding family law matters. Regency Press published the first edition in 1988 and the second edition in 1995. Jeanette is fluent in American Sign Language, and taught in the field of special education for fifteen years. She earned her law degree while teaching full time at St Louis Park High School in their program for the deaf and hearing impaired. Her first published book, Life after Deaf, describes the impact of the handicap of deafness on her family. Published in 1985 by the National Association for the Deaf, her book explores the psychosocial and educational aspects of deafness. This book has been widely used as required reading by universities offering degrees in special education.
